Authentic Buenos Aires
Buenos Aires · San Telmo · La Boca · Recoleta · Capilla del Señor · Tigre
Six days in Buenos Aires with two excursions beyond the city: to the countryside and the Tigre Delta. The program pairs the premium city tour and the tango dinner show at Michelangelo with a Día de Campo at Estancia Don Silvano, in Capilla del Señor: an asado, folk dancing, and gaucho skills. In Tigre, it adds the Puerto de Frutos, lunch overlooking the Luján River, and a boat excursion on the Delta and the Río de la Plata. Day 5 leaves room for another program in Argentina.

Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1
Buenos Aires
Arrival at Ezeiza International Airport. Meet and greet, followed by a transfer to the selected hotel. Day at leisure to get a first feel for Buenos Aires, Argentina's vibrant capital, famous for its blend of European architecture, rich cultural life, and passion for tango, soccer, and good food. On this first day, we recommend visiting Café Tortoni, the city's oldest café, founded in 1858, with its unmistakable French style and imposing 1898 facade by the renowned architect Alejandro Christophersen. Another suggestion is Confitería La Ideal, one of the most iconic and majestic of the city's Bares Notables (Notable Bars): founded in 1912 by the Galician merchant Manuel Rosendo Fernández, it is now a jewel of the Buenos Aires Belle Époque in the heart of the Microcentro (downtown). At lunchtime, it is hard to resist an Argentine-style pizza at Güerrín or Las Cuartetas. In the evening, we will enjoy a dinner show—a three-course menu with one bottle of wine for every two people, plus tango and folklore performances—at Michelangelo, in the historic heart of the city, in the San Telmo neighborhood. The current building dates from 1885, and one of its main attractions is a network of 18th-century tunnels once used for smuggling. Accommodation at the selected hotel. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
Day 2
Buenos Aires
Breakfast. In the morning, we will begin our five-hour premium city tour (on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons, the tour is bilingual and includes Italian). This excursion offers a complete picture of Buenos Aires, showing places that are part of the everyday life and customs of the porteños, as locals are known, such as the promenades of Tres de Febrero Park, the racecourse, and the polo grounds. It also covers historic areas such as Plaza de Mayo (with a stop), San Telmo, and La Boca. We will make a stop in La Recoleta to see its world-famous cemetery (admission not included) and the Church of El Pilar. We will also see other city landmarks such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Obelisk, and the main avenues, notably Avenida Corrientes, Avenida de Mayo, Avenida 9 de Julio, Avenida Alvear, and Avenida del Libertador. We will discover the most historic neighborhoods, such as La Boca (with a stop) and San Telmo, aristocratic Palermo and Recoleta, and modern Puerto Madero, as well as Lezama Park and the commercial and financial districts. Return transfer and accommodation at the selected hotel. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
Day 3
Buenos Aires · Capilla del Señor · Buenos Aires
Breakfast. Today we will enjoy a typical Argentine Día de Campo (Day in the Countryside). We will travel to Capilla del Señor, just over 90 km from the city of Buenos Aires, to Estancia Don Silvano, built in 1930 and covering 380 hectares. On arrival, we will be welcomed with empanadas, wine, soft drinks, and mineral water; we can then enjoy horseback, carriage, and tractor rides, as well as a tour of the estancia's facilities. At 13:00, we will be served a typical Argentine asado (barbecue) with different cuts of beef and salads, accompanied by drinks (wine, beer, soft drinks, and water), with traditional flan for dessert. During lunch, we will enjoy a show of folk singing and dancing, and once it is over, the gauchos will show off their traditional skills (destrezas criollas). We will round off the gaucho experience with a country-style afternoon snack (merienda campera): mate cocido (yerba mate tea), tortas fritas (fried dough), and pastelitos (pastries). At 16:30, we head back to the city of Buenos Aires. The Día de Campo at Estancia Don Silvano operates on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays; for a supplement, it can be replaced with Estancia Santa Susana (operating on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays) or with the premium experience at Estancia El Ombú (daily departures). Arrival and accommodation at the selected hotel. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
Day 4
Buenos Aires · Tigre Delta · Buenos Aires
Breakfast. Today we will discover the Tigre Delta, just 40 km north of the city, a place chosen by thousands of porteños to get away from the daily routine and enjoy nature. Along the way, we will see Ciudad Universitaria (the university campus) and the River Plate stadium within the city, and highways and industrial areas in Greater Buenos Aires. Once in Tigre, we will stroll around and explore the Puerto de Frutos, a kind of bazaar where locals shop for household goods, ideal for picking up authentic souvenirs. Next, we will visit Paseo Victorica, with a stop in the gardens of the Museo de Arte Tigre (Tigre Art Museum). When it is time for lunch, we will head to María Luján Ristorante, overlooking the Luján River, unique for its location, its river views, and the quality of its food. After lunch, we will continue our tour to the Port of Tigre, where we will board a boat to take in the panoramic views as the captain navigates the waters of the Tigre Delta and the Río de la Plata. We will see the neighborhoods of San Isidro, Martínez, Olivos, and Núñez and watch the little houses along the shore gradually give way to skyscrapers as we approach the modern Puerto Madero district. We will also take in the steady parade of planes taking off from and landing at the Metropolitan Airport (Aeroparque). This excursion operates Wednesday through Sunday, and depending on the day of departure, the order of the visits may change. Accommodation at the selected hotel. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
